The sustainable use of plastics in the automotive industry has become a priority due to environmental concerns and the need to reduce the carbon footprint. This necessary transformation includes new modes of transport, new energy sources, new uses, new regulations, new materials and technologies. CEP Auto generates a space for the exchange of experiences and synergies to learn, contribute and share with other professionals. Besides sharing research and development of new products and applications that contribute to making the automotive sector more competitive, the practical orientation and networking allows participants to take advantage of the knowledge acquired from the first day. The event addresses the decarbonisation of the world economy, especially the transport sector as well as the manufacture of more sustainable vehicles, such as electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles.
Our LEVIS team partners from Ita and Leartiker were at CEP Auto 2024 in Barcelona, showcasing our latest innovations in lightweight, sustainable auto components. From ITA, Cristina Crespo and Manuel Laspalas presented a side-beam demo from our battery box, highlighting our advances in lightweight automotive design. Leartiker’s Blanca Maria Lekube Gazagaetxeberria and Kepa Zulueta Uriondo displayed a battery module housing integrated with a busbar, underscoring our commitment to multi-material solutions.
