The EnLight EVs cluster, comprising five European projects that are developing innovative solutions for sustainable and lightweight automotive components, is organizing a web seminar on June 6, 2023. The event aims to showcase essential skills, concepts, and tools that can be rapidly applied in the automotive market to develop lightweight and sustainable electric vehicle (EV) components. Within this framework, the EU project LEVIS will give insights into its methods to make lightweight automotive components a reality.
The online seminar titled “Towards a more sustainable mobility through the implementation of advanced solutions and lightweight materials in EVs” will take place in the scope of the EU Green Week and feature presentations from representatives of five EU-funded projects, LEVIS, ALMA, Fatigue4Light, FLAMINGo, and REVOLUTION, working in the automotive field. The speakers will present their latest and most innovative solutions for reducing EVs’ weight while ensuring structural integrity, passengers’ safety, and sustainability through eco-design and circular practices. The seminar’s target audience includes policymakers and decision-makers, scientists and researchers, and corporate actors interested in sustainable, resilient, and socially fair European communities.
Clara Valero from ITAINNOVA, and Guan Gong from RISE will represent the LEVIS project and showcase simulation methods for accurate failure and service life predictions and optimized designs as well as strategies for fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) composite parts harvesting and reuse.
“The EnLight EVs cluster is proud to bring together experts from five innovative EU projects to showcase their solutions for sustainable automotive components,” . “This event is an excellent opportunity to inform the audience about the latest innovative solutions for sustainable mobility and promote awareness about the importance of sustainability for the future of the automotive industry.”
– Clara Valero
“We are thrilled to be part of this initiative and to share our insights on fibre-reinforced plastic composite parts harvesting and reuse. Sustainable mobility is a crucial aspect of today’s world, and we are excited to contribute to this endeavour.”
– Guan Gong
The web seminar will be conducted entirely in English. The Agenda and Registration for the event can be found here: https://bit.ly/enlightevs-register.
