LEVIS Project Meeting in Zaragoza

Jun 10, 2022

On June 9 and June 10, 2022, the first face-to-face LEVIS project meeting took place in Zaragoza, Spain. Host of the meeting was project coordinator ITAINNOVA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón).

After nearly one and a half years of remote meetings, we are thrilled to report that we have just held our first on-site meeting, gathering all partners in person for the very first time since the project’s start in 2021. During the two-day meeting in Zaragoza, Spain, we reviewed the project progress in detail. In the framework of LEVIS, the technical and economic feasibility of producing sustainable and lightweight EV components will be showcased in three real-case demonstrators at a large scale: a suspension arm, a battery box set and a cross car beam.

In the meeting, special emphasis was put on the progress regarding the LEVIS demonstrators, including materials design and development, manufacturing and assembly technologies, structural integrity, and end-of-life approaches. Besides the review of the work conducted in the project work packages and planning of future work, LEVIS partners also had the chance to visit ITAINNOVA’s facilities.

Many thanks to the ITAINNOVA team for organising this wonderful and productive two-day meeting and great stay in Zaragoza!
